Teens & Young Adults

Teens

Parents will find that therapy helps their teen in taking responsibility for choices and actions, thereby lessening the daily drama. Additionally, you will notice an increase in his or her ability to communicate with more maturity and honesty. I work to empower clients to identify and acknowledge what is not working for them as well as to find their own path toward solutions.

Together we can address many issues, including:

Addiction | Anxiety/Depression | Life Transitions | Family Difficulties | Relationships and Communication Bullying | School Difficulties/Delinquency/Gangs | Managing Emotional Ups and Downs | Being Bi-Cultural | Adoption

Young Adults

I have extensive experience working with young adults and love to help them discover the personal power to be the expert and agent of change in their lives. To be empowered. The transition from teen to adult is an incredibly difficult one. It can create many problems leading to anxiety regarding a sense of place and safety in the world, fears about the future and “making it”, or being successful. Through our work together identify areas in your life that feel unmanageable and set clear, attainable goals for change. Additionally, improve your self-esteem, change negative thoughts and patterns, learn to manage difficult emotions, adopt positive communication skills, and develop a network of support.

Together we can address many issues, including:
