No two people or the challenges they face are the same, but we all have opportunities for growth and change. Therapy is a place to gain awareness and insight into our struggles. It gives us both the tools and the confidence to make real and lasting change.
Taking the step to consider therapy is an important one, and I am here to help you navigate this transition. I work with teens, young adults, and adults, who are ready to make changes in their thoughts, behaviors, & relationships.
My own life experiences and a desire to help people has informed my work over the last 14 years. After earning my Master’s degree from the University of San Francisco in Counseling Psychology, and becoming a licensed therapist I dove into intensive work at a court-mandated placement facility for young women. In the years that followed I have worked in varied settings, including facilitating group work both with teens and adults, in home and transitional family therapy and non-profit programs, as well as my own private practice.
Throughout my career I have gained invaluable experience working with teens, young adults and adults experiencing difficulties including delinquency, substance abuse, anxiety, and depression.
I help my clients discover their unique talents, skills, and passions; because when we are empowered, we can accomplish great things. People can dramatically change their paths with the right help at the right time. I am honored and privileged to do this work, helping my clients find a new and better way to live.
I have extensive experience working with young adults and love to help them discover the personal power to be the expert and agent of change in their lives. To be empowered. The transition from teen to adult is an incredibly difficult one. It can create many problems leading to anxiety regarding a sense of place and safety in the world, fears about the future and “making it”, or being successful. Through our work together identify areas in your life that feel unmanageable and set clear, attainable goals for change. Additionally, improve your self-esteem, change negative thoughts and patterns, learn to manage difficult emotions, adopt positive communication skills, and develop a network of support.
